My role at Point Blue is lead biologist for the Western Snowy plover research on Vandenberg Air Force Base.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from UC Santa Barbara, and I am currently working towards my master's in Geographic Information Sciences at University of Southern California, Los Angeles researching nest site selection of Western snowy plover on the Santa Barbara County coastline.  I have worked within coastal habitats for the last 15 years specializing   in habitat assessment and restoration, avian ecology, and threatened and endangered species recovery.

Prior to coming to Point Blue, I led large scale habitat restoration projects focused on removing invasive plant species and I was responsible for leading the team of field biologists studying the breeding population of Western snowy plover at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

My work is based out of Point Blue's Vandenberg field station in Lompoc, Ca. but you can most likely find me walking the beaches during summer months or horseback in my free time.
