As a Project Manager for Point Blue's Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed (STRAW) Project, I help plan, coordinate, implement, maintain, monitor and report on several of our riparian restoration projects in Marin and Sonoma Counties.

What inspires me most about the work I do is sharing moments of curiosity and awe of the natural world with the many folks I work with from fellow STRAWlings, restoration partners and landowners to teachers and their students.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Environmental Studies from Kalamazoo College. Soon after graduating college, I began working with the STRAW Project as a Volunteer in Service to the Environment AmeriCorps Member at Conservation Corps North Bay. The position drew me in because it had elements of education and hands on application of scientific principles. The well balanced combination of my interests led me to decide that I didn't have to choose one or the other as a career path. With STRAW I can have both, and so much more.
