Point Blue's award winning science is guiding conservation efforts from Alaska to Antarctica— from the rangelands of the west to the California Current marine ecosystem that stretches from Canada to Mexico.

The pioneering efforts of our 140 scientists and educators reduce human-driven impacts on nature, by building on our decades of bird ecology expertise. Birds are excellent indicators of environmental health. Point Blue has amassed some of the deepest standardized data sets in the world on birds, vegetation and related ecological features in California, the West, and Antarctica, allowing for unique insights into human-caused and natural changes over time. Point Blue leverages these long-term data sets to guide science-based management actions.

Point Blue has catalyzed the development of some of the most innovative conservation partnerships. Major conservation initiatives are achieving greater outcomes as a result of Point Blue’s innovative science, training and outreach. Point Blue helps to ensure that every dollar invested in conservation yields the most for biodiversity- benefiting our environment, our economy and our communities!

With your generous support as a Friend of Point Blue, birds will continue telling us about the health of ecosystems—providing measurable, cost-effective means to conserve our planets natural resources for generations to come.

Friends of Point Blue support our research, conservation and outreach programs with annual gifts of cash, securities or property.

Point Blue also gratefully accepts planned gifts such as bequests and charitable remainder trusts. Planned giving donors are recognized through enrollment in our Tern Society.
