Lasting Legacy Campaign

PRBO's Lasting Legacy campaign will permanently secure our ability to drive effective, science-based conservation by establishing a permanent home of our own at the northernmost reaches of San Francisco Bay, improving existing research stations, initiating new field station partnerships and creating a major endowment fund. (For more information about the Endowment Fund, please see column below right.)

We are very grateful to the following friends for their early gifts and pledges to the Lasting Legacy campaign and for helping us conserve birds, other wildlife and ecosystems for our next 4 decades and beyond!

If you would like more information about the Lasting Legacy campaign and making a gift to PRBO, please contact Sarah Huard at (415) 868-1221, ext. 324, or via email at You can also learn more about the campaign by visiting lastinglegacy.

PRBO's Endowment Fund

To provide ongoing financial stability as PRBO grows and to generate unrestricted support for operating costs, basic science, and high priority projects, PRBO has established a $2.5 million Endowment Fund goal as part of our Lasting Legacy campaign.

Donations to the Endowment Fund can be made through outright gifts of cash, securities and/or property, or through many planned gift vehicles. Unrestricted gifts to the Endowment Fund allow strategic flexibility in PRBO's management and growth. Gifts may also be designated to specific PRBO focus areas such as the Eastern Sierra Project, Farallones Field Station, Latin America Program, Palomarin Field Station, or Snowy Plover Recovery Program.

For more information about the Lasting Legacy campaign and securing PRBO's future through a gift to the Endowment Fund, please contact Sarah Huard, Director of Individual Giving.
