We are seeking a Senior Restoration Ecologist to bring science and expert knowledge to increase the pace, scale, and efficacy of meadow restoration in the Sierra Nevada ecosystem. By conducting ecological research, outreach, and partnering to identify the best places and practices to restore and manage meadows in the face of climate change, the ecological benefits of restoration and protection activities will be maximized. The Senior Restoration Ecologist will also help partners incorporate climate-smart principles into their prioritizations, restoration designs, land protection strategies, and management plans.
Compensation and Benefits:
$72,245-$88,000 Annually, depending on experience. Point Blue provides a comprehensive benefit package including employer paid medical and dental for staff and 75% for dependents. Other benefits include life insurance, long-term care, long- and short-term disability, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans as well as time off benefits.
This position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in restoration ecology, conservation biology, ecology, environmental sciences, or related field; and 3 years of experience in restoration science, including 1 year of supervisory experience. PhD preferred.
