Marine Lab Research Assistant
I am a laboratory research assistant at Point Blue’s marine ecology lab. In the lab, I examine krill and diet samples of various predators to support research in monitoring the health and oceanographic conditions of the marine environment.
I grew up in the beautifully biodiverse region that is Sonoma County, California. As a child, I was fascinated by the rich Sonoma coast, grand Redwood trees, and exciting wildlife. I developed an interest in the natural world around me and later, my passion for marine science sprouted when I volunteered at UC Davis Bodega Marine Laboratory during my adolescent years. I then attended UC San Diego where I received my B.S. in Marine Biology.
Currently located in Petaluma, you can find me sifting through samples in the lab using a microscope. When I’m not at the office, I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, exercising, exploring the bay area, and practicing embroidery.
