Laboratory Research Assistant

As a marine laboratory assistant with Point Blue, I learn skills to collect and process marine samples and I contribute to Point Blue’s long-term effort to track and guide ocean ecosystem health. I received my Marine Science B.S. at California State University Monterey Bay and worked at the Monterey Bay Aquarium in the Tuna Research Conservation Center before joining Point Blue. My love for learning and discovery drives my work. Handling live bluefin and yellowfin tuna is one of my biggest accomplishments that I am proud of. In my free time, I enjoy drawing, painting with watercolors, and spending time with my cat, Nova. I can usually be found in Point Blue’s marine lab or out in the field for ACCESS cruises.
