Bay Nature Hike: Meeker Slough Birding

Join Bay Nature and Julian Wood of Point Blue Conservation Science for a birding outing at Meeker Slough in Richmond. Stroll along the slough and keep an eye (and an ear!) out for the diverse assemblage of birds who call this area home this season. With luck, we’ll spot some of the many species of ducks, shorebirds, egrets, and more who call the marshland and mudflats home. Maybe we’ll even get to hear the elusive Ridgway’s rail. This event is inspired by this piece by Bay Nature senior reporting fellow, Tanvi Dutta Gupta, about the state of the birds in the SF Bay Area.
