Some birds call the SF Bay Area their winter home and spend their summers in northern regions of the world, like the Tundra. Others establish their spring/summer homes in our area and fly south to spend their winters. Others choose one place and stay there year-round. There are many adaptations and yearly lifestyles in the bird world. In this episode of “Live from the Field,” we’ll focus on our winter residents: who they are, what we know about them from our science, and what they’re telling us about the places they live. Our Palomarin Field Station scientists look forward to hosting you!
