Bilingual Conservation Educator (Spanish/ English)

¡Hola a todos!

Soy Educadora Bilingüe de Conservación para el programa de STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed). En mi trabajo me verán visitando escuelas y compartiendo cómo podemos ayudar a restaurar humedales y hábitats ribereños.

Mi educación formal es la enseñanza de idiomas extranjeros de japonés y español. Me encanta recorrer la naturaleza al aire libre y aprender sobre los seres que nos rodean, incluso de aquellos microscópicos.

Nací en Japón y crecí en los campos del valle central de Chile. He tenido el privilegio de visitar el árido desierto de Atacama y recorrer fiordos en Patagonia. Ahora mi hogar está en el oeste del condado de Sonoma.

En mi tiempo libre me dedico a leer, recorrer lugares con mapas y estudiar la naturaleza entre otras cosas.

Hello everyone!

I am a Bilingual Conservation Educator for the STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed) program. In my work you will see me visiting schools and sharing how we can help restore wetlands and riparian habitats.

My formal education is in foreign language teaching of Japanese and Spanish. I love exploring nature outdoors and learning about the beings that surround us, even microscopic ones.

I was born in Japan and grew up in the fields of the central valley of Chile. I have had the privilege of visiting the arid Atacama Desert and exploring fjords in Patagonia. My home is now in western Sonoma County.

In my free time I dedicate myself to reading books, visiting places with maps, and studying nature.
