Development Operations Manager

It is my pleasure to help further the mission of Point Blue Conservation Science as the Development Operations Manager. I support the Development and Finance teams by managing Raiser’s Edge and RENXT databases and analytics to influence data-driven decisions when it comes to stewarding and engaging donors in Point Blue’s mission.

I grew up in beautiful Santa Barbara, California just between the Los Padres National Forest and the Channel Islands. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from CSU, Chico where I studied Sociology and foreign languages and where my career in non-profit development began as a fundraiser for higher education. I eventually moved back to Santa Barbara and continued to learn and gain practical experience with day-to-day non-profit operations, including optimizing the use of fundraising databases for donor analytics, peer-to-peer fundraising, database migrations, and many other fun projects.

When I’m not in front of the computer, I’m usually tending to my houseplants or preparing a home-cooked meal. I enjoy bowling on a league with friends, BBQing with family on the weekends, and exploring new destinations with my boyfriend whenever possible. Conservation is important to me because it was one of my mother’s values. She taught me how to appreciate nature, and how to be intentional with my use of precious natural resources so that her grandchildren could experience them too. I feel blessed to now work for an organization that gives back, in such a BIG way, to our precious planet and to future generations.
