David has been in the biotechnology business for nearly 20 years, currently serving as Executive Vice President, Drug Development at Olema Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Olema, David was cofounder of Epiphany Biosciences, and held senior management positions at Kosan Biosciences, and Chiron Corporation. He has directed research programs identifying new treatments for cancer, infectious disease, and metabolic disease, among other areas. Prior entering the biotechnology sector, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA where his laboratory developed new methods for the preparation of biologically active natural products and analogs. David obtained his Ph.D. from Yale University and was an NIH post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University.
