Leila Dunne Monroe

Director

Founder of Clear Resource Law, Leila Monroe specializes in land use law and ocean and coastal resource management and conservation. She supports creation and protection of affordable housing, formerly as a Board Member of the Bolinas Community Land Trust, and currently as a founding member of the West Marin Residents for Affordable Housing. As a small business owner, she led the restoration and operation of historic Smiley’s Saloon, Hotel & Kitchen. At Smiley’s, and in her former non-profit music production work, she has produced thousands of independent music events, many in support of grassroots nonprofit organizations. Leila holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.S. from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service. She loves surfing, hiking, bird watching and listening to music with her husband and two young sons.
