Bilingual Bird-A-Thon Walk with Los Pajaritos Alegres de Novato Baylands

Novato Baylands

9am-12pm

7 Hamilton Landing, Novato, CA 94949

Join us for a bilingual team in Point Blue’s 46th Annual Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon! We will meet at 9am at Novato Baylands at the back of the parking lot at 7 Hamilton Landing, Novato, CA. We’ll then walk at a relaxed pace along the Bay Trail until 12pm looking for as many species of birds as we can find as a team, along with other wildlife and special wetland plants.

The event will be in English and Spanish, and anyone is welcome to join – including families with young children, small groups, those with no birding experience, and seasoned birders. Binoculars, bird books, and spotting scopes will be provided (bringing your own binoculars is still a good idea if you have them), plus snacks and drinks part-way through the walk. We recommend bringing your own water bottle, sun protection, and comfortable walking shoes.

Some of the birds we might see include spectacular flocks of sandpipers, hundreds of migratory ducks, giant White Pelicans, and tiny Snowy Plovers. Come bird with us and learn about the special salt marsh ecosystem – we hope to see you there!

Visit our Los Pajaritos Alegres de Novato Baylands Bird-A-Thon Page and register as a team member to sign up!

If you’re not quite ready to officially register as a team member, just sign up here to join us.
