Dick Evans

Director

Dick Evans is a retired international business leader who has lived and worked in Africa, Europe, Canada and multiple US States during a 55-year career in the aluminum industry. He has served as CEO of Fortune 200 Alcan of Montreal, Canada, Executive Director of Rio Tinto of the UK and Australia and Non-Executive Chairman of Constellium based in Paris, France. In total he has served as a board director on 5 NYSE listed corporations.

Dick and his wife, Gretchen, have lived in San Francisco since 2009 where he has become a well-known documentary and wildlife photographer with publications on Haight Ashbury, The Mission District and SF’s Chinatown. His most recent publication in 2025 was “In the Shadow of the Bridge: Birds of the Bay Area” during which he collaborated with Point Blue. He currently also serves as a director of the Oregon State University Foundation and the Chinese Culture Center of SF. He is a graduate of Oregon State University in Engineering and of Stanford in Management.
