STRAW Project Manager
As the Project and Nursery Manager with STRAW at Point Blue Conservation Science, I manage three native plant nurseries and lead the implementation of community-based habitat restoration projects across the region. I oversee all phases of native plant production—from seed collection to propagation and planting—while mentoring apprentices and technicians. In addition to growing plants, I help grow curiosity by involving students in hands-on restoration work and fostering their connection to local ecosystems.
Growing up in the Bay Area, I was lucky to be surrounded by the region’s incredible diversity of vegetation communities and ecosystems. This early exposure helped me understand not only the ecological richness of California, but also the importance of public access to open spaces. I believe deeply in the power of restoration work to connect people to place, and I’m especially passionate about getting others excited about plants—whether it’s students getting their hands in the soil for the first time or community members planting along the bays edge.
I hold a B.S. in Environmental Studies: Natural Resource Management and a B.A. in Geography: Natural Resource from San Francisco State University. Since joining STRAW in 2017, I’ve been fortunate to grow my work at the intersection of nursery management, ecological restoration, and environmental education.
Outside of work, I love biking, swimming, and spending time with my dog—especially in wild, plant-filled places.
