Julie Chase Baldocchi

Development Committee Chair

Julie Chase Baldocchi is a lifelong conservationist, photographer, and business leader. On the Board of Directors of Point Blue Conservation Science she chairs the Development Committee. For more than two decades, she was Co-Owner and Vice President of Pacific Nurseries, a wholesale plant nursery serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photography, she previously ran a commercial photography studio with clients including Apple Computer, Pacific Bell, Informix, and Octel.

Deeply connected to California’s working landscapes, Julie has been involved for over 40 years in her family’s cattle operation, which has implemented Allan Savory’s holistic management practices to restore and regenerate grasslands. Her fine art and editorial work focus on the people and places that sustain these traditions.

Julie has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees, including Marin CASA, the NRDC, the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, and the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society and is a former volunteer with the National Ski Patrol.
