48th Annual Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon
September 15 – October 15, 2026
Get ready for the 48th Annual Rich Stallcup Bird-A-Thon! Pick any day between September 15 and October 15 to see how many bird species you can identify by sight or sound. Whether you’re an experienced birder or just starting out, there’s a place for you.
Connect with fellow birders, explore the outdoors, take on fun challenges, and win prizes all while helping raise money to support Point Blue’s mission. Go birding wherever you are – your neighborhood, a local park, the beach, or a favorite trail. Take part on your own, start a team, or join one, and help us reach this year’s goal of raising $125,000.
Each year, a different bird species is selected as our mascot. For 2026 it’s the Western Tanager. Anna Pedersen of Salty Earth Studios created the artwork, which is featured on limited-edition merchandise.
To get started, visit the Bird-A-Thon site to register, join or support a team, and find answers to common questions. We also offer virtual and in-person events throughout the Bird-A-Thon, so please see our event postings above to sign up.
