Novato Baylands - Point Blue Conservation Science
Join Point Blue to explore Novato Baylands and learn about community stewardship of the Hamilton Wetlands.
Learn how Point Blue, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and the State Coastal Conservancy is engaging the community to help steward the Hamilton and Bel Marin Keys restoration projects. See wetland restoration in action as marsh vegetation becomes established and endangered species naturally return to the site.
The event begins with a tour of Point Blue’s facility and native plant nursery, followed by a walk to a scenic overlook where you’ll see the scale of the wetland transformation. The tour concludes with a visit to a native planting along the San Francisco Bay Trail.
The walk will be approximately one mile roundtrip. Detailed directions, parking information, and what to bring will be provided in your confirmation email.
