Zoom
Join Point Blue’s Erika Foster, PhD, Director of Soil Research and Conservation and Lisa Eash, PhD, Senior Soil Scientist to learn how Point Blue’s science is helping refine publicly available tools and guiding funders, ranchers, and policymakers toward the most effective, climate-smart rangeland management strategies.
We will discuss how much conservation can really do to protect California’s rangelands from a changing climate. We have partnered with over 30 land stewards across the state to find answers. Using advanced ecosystem modeling, we measured how practices like perennial range plantings, silvopasture, and riparian restoration affect soil carbon, forage production, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Who should attend:
All are welcome but content may be most applicable to funders, ranchers, rangeland practitioners, scientists, and policymakers working to advance climate resilience on California’s working lands, particularly those in Marin and Sonoma Counties.
