Pier 15 (Embarcadero at Green Street) | San Francisco, CA 94111
Join us at the Exploratorium to learn about the prey of the endangered California least tern! This small seabird plucks fish from the upper waters of San Francisco Bay and brings them back to their chicks in Alameda. Sometimes these fish are dropped on the ground, and since they will not be eaten, scientists at the Point Blue Marine Lab use them as an opportunity to investigate the foraging habits of this species. Visit us on July 9 to see what we’re learning from dropped fish!
No registration is required; included with museum admission
