Petaluma Museum
The Petaluma Museum Association is currently presenting Time & Tide: An Artful Exploration of Petaluma’s Wetlands, an exhibition that brings together art, science, and history to tell the evolving story of the Petaluma River and its surrounding wetlands.
Join us on May 28 for a panel discussion exploring how our relationships with wetlands have evolved and what stewardship looks like in a changing climate. Together, we’ll discuss restoration, climate resilience, community action, and the role of art and storytelling in helping us connect more deeply to place.
Featured panelists include:
• Julian Wood, Point Blue Conservation Science SF Bay Program Leader
• Julian Meisler, Sonoma Land Trust Associate Director of Stewardship
• Anne Chadwick, Point Blue Board Member, conservation volunteer leader and Time & Tide artist
The event is free to the public. RSVP here.
Point Blue also contributed to the planning process and our wetlands conservation work is integrated into several informational displays featured throughout the exhibition.
To experience the role of art in science, visit the Time & Tide exhibit on view until June 7. It includes artwork by Point Blue’s immediate past Board Chair, Anne Chadwick, whose piece was selected for the juried art show, as well as the upcoming presentation of Ebb & Flow, a science illustration comic created by 2025 Point Blue apprentice Rushi Tawade as part of an upcoming youth programming.
