Young Friends of Point Blue New Year Planting

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Stubbs Vineyard

January is a time of renewal, resolution, and promise, and at Point Blue, it is a time when our Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed (STRAW) program comes together to do just that – or more rightly, 30 years in, they are restoring many watersheds, harnessing the power of over 5,000 students per year in 15 counties! One of our first partners in this work was Stubbs Vineyard and Percy Stubbs, just a child when STRAW did the first restoration on his family’s ranch, is now on the Board of Point Blue and he co-chairs the Young Friends Committee. He has seen firsthand the renewal this foresight can bring to a riparian corridor and is an expression of the long-standing community it fosters.

Percy and his family would like to invite you to extend STRAW’s work at a Young Friends of Point Blue planting at the ranch on January 10, 2026, from 9 am – 1 pm. The day will include a brief tour of this ongoing project, a chance to plant new roots, and lunch together.

Space is limited, please RSVP to youngfriends@pointblue.org by January 5, 2026.
