October brought more than just birds: Palo interns were busy with Bird-a-thon, attending a conference, welcoming back Golden-crowned Sparrows, taking tests, and much more!
September is always an exciting time at Palomarin, as summer residents depart for wintering grounds, northern-breeding landbirds arrive for the winter, and other migrants continue to pass through.
August marked the annual shift from the breeding season to fall migration at Palomarin – bringing new interns, and new birds!
On this day at Palomarin in 1980, the very nature of the mundane was inspiring and heartwarming.
